The Department of Data and Information Management offers education focused on IT security and software testing, system science, graphic design, and web development at the undergraduate level. At the advanced level, we conduct education focused on Business Intelligence and Data Science. We also have doctoral education and research within Data Analytics.

Job Responsibilities

The role includes teaching in the subject of Computer Science in program courses, campus-based at our campus in Borlänge. You will contribute your experience and knowledge to shape the future employees and researchers in digitalized industries.

Qualifications

To be eligible as a university lecturer, you must:

• Have documented pedagogical skills.
• Have completed a master's degree, or possess an adequate academic vocational education, or have equivalent professional skills relevant to the content of the position.
• Have experience in teaching as well as consulting or operational work related to data and information management.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Meritorious

In addition to the above, it is meritorious if you also:

• Have experience or good knowledge of graphic design and system development within all or parts of full-stack development, including:
• web development and interface design
• implementing business logic in the middle-tier
• integrating databases and servers
• performing testing and troubleshooting
• Experience in data science/data analytics.
• Experience in driving doctoral education and higher education pedagogical training is meritorious.

Applicants who lack the required higher education pedagogical training are expected to acquire this competence within two years from the start of employment.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good collaboration skills and be able to work effectively with others. You should also have strong analytical skills to understand and solve complex problems. The ability to communicate clearly and engagingly is important, as well as a sense of responsibility to drive the work forward. Initiative is also valued, as the role requires you to take your own initiatives and proactively contribute to development and improvement.
